Getting Started

Scooter Duo Beginner Guide

Scooter Duo is built around a driver and a passenger sharing one scooter. Before your first course, both players should join the same session, mount the scooter together, and agree on when to move, jump, slow down, or retry an obstacle.

1

Join the same game session

Invite a friend through Roblox and enter the same Scooter Duo experience. Confirm that both players can see one another before approaching the starting area.

The player who joins first can wait near the start area so the second player can quickly find the team.

2

Form the scooter team

Move close to the scooter and use the interaction prompt to join it. Both players must be positioned correctly before the team can begin the course.

Avoid moving away during the mounting sequence — the interaction is canceled if one player leaves the scooter.

3

Choose the driver and passenger

Assign one player to control the scooter and the other to ride as the passenger. The driver focuses on direction, speed, braking, and obstacle timing while the passenger follows the ride and keeps the timing coordinated.

Let the player with the more comfortable movement controls drive for the first attempt.

4

Start the first obstacle section

Move forward from the starting point and approach the first obstacle at a controlled speed. Stop briefly when necessary so both players can prepare for a jump, turn, or narrow passage.

Do not rush the opening section — learning the timing matters more than reaching the first checkpoint quickly.

5

Coordinate every obstacle

The driver calls out upcoming turns, jumps, and braking points. The passenger stays ready for sudden changes and avoids leaving the scooter during an active obstacle.

Use short commands such as slow, jump, left, right, and stop to reduce confusion.

6

Recover after a mistake

If the team falls or becomes separated, return to the latest checkpoint or restart the obstacle section. Reassign roles if the original driver is having difficulty.

Change one variable at a time — speed, approach angle, or driver — so the team can pinpoint what caused the failure.

Controls & Movement

Scooter Duo Controls Guide

Control layouts vary by device, but the core actions stay the same: move, steer, jump when available, slow down before obstacles, and use interaction prompts to mount or leave the scooter. Practice in an open area before attempting a difficult section.

PlatformActionDriverPassengerNotes
ComputerMoveUse WASD or the arrow keys to control forward movement and direction.Use the movement keys to adjust position when independent passenger movement is available.Keyboard movement allows quick directional changes, so use small inputs near narrow obstacles.
ComputerJumpPress Space when a jump is required or available.Press Space when the passenger has an independent jump action.Coordinate jump timing with the driver's approach instead of jumping repeatedly.
ComputerTurn and brakeUse directional input to steer and release or reverse movement input to reduce speed.Call out upcoming turns and braking points to the driver.Slow down before tight turns rather than correcting direction at the last moment.
PhoneMoveUse the on-screen movement thumbstick to control direction.Use the on-screen movement controls when independent movement is available.Keep the thumb centered between inputs to avoid accidental drifting.
PhoneJump and interactTap the jump button when shown and tap interaction prompts to mount, continue, or respond to objects.Use the visible jump and interaction buttons when the passenger has access to them.Keep the camera angle clear so interaction prompts are easy to see.
TabletMove and steerUse the larger on-screen thumbstick for movement and steering.Use the movement control to maintain position and follow the team's route.A wider screen makes prompts easier to see, but hand placement may cover buttons.
TabletBrake and rideRelease forward input or use reverse movement input to slow down before obstacles.Remain mounted and communicate timing before jumps, turns, or stops.Avoid tapping multiple controls at once when approaching a narrow platform.
All platformsMount or leave the scooterMove near the scooter and activate the displayed interaction prompt.Move into the passenger position and activate the displayed interaction prompt. Both players should wait until the mounting action is complete before starting the course.
Progression & Checkpoints

Scooter Duo Levels and Checkpoints

Progression is about moving a two-player team through obstacle areas. Checkpoints give you a recovery point after solid progress, while failed attempts mean repeating the current section with better timing.

Main obstacles

  • Finding the scooter
  • Joining the same ride
  • Assigning driver and passenger roles

Coordination: Confirm both players are mounted and agree on basic commands before leaving the starting area.

Checkpoint note: Use the starting area to test movement, camera control, and interaction prompts before entering the first obstacle section.

Obstacle Guide

Scooter Duo Obstacle Tips

Most failed runs come from excessive speed, poor communication, or the passenger jumping off too early. Control your movement, time your actions together, and every obstacle type below becomes manageable.

Moving Platforms

Reduce speed before entering a moving platform section and keep the scooter centered. The driver makes small steering corrections instead of turning sharply, while the passenger calls out the platform direction and landing timing.

Driver tip: Approach slowly and keep the front wheel aligned with the platform.

Passenger tip: Call out whether the platform is moving left, right, up, or down.

Common mistake: Entering at full speed or correcting too late.

Traps and Hazard Zones

Treat visible traps as timing obstacles rather than speed tests. Stop or slow down before the hazard, wait for a clear opening, and move through it only after both players confirm the timing.

Driver tip: Use short movements and avoid panic steering near traps.

Passenger tip: Watch the hazard cycle and give a clear go signal.

Common mistake: The driver moves before the passenger has finished checking the route.

Narrow Roads

Stay near the center of narrow paths and avoid unnecessary side-to-side movement. The passenger stays balanced and does not jump off simply because the scooter is moving slowly.

Driver tip: Maintain a steady, moderate speed and make gradual corrections.

Passenger tip: Keep the camera focused ahead and warn about bends or incoming obstacles.

Common mistake: Oversteering pushes the scooter or passenger off the path.

Sharp Turns

Brake before the turn rather than during it. Enter the corner at a controlled speed, complete the turn with one smooth steering motion, and accelerate only after the scooter faces the next section.

Driver tip: Slow down before turning and avoid rapid directional changes.

Passenger tip: Announce the turn early and identify which direction the route continues.

Common mistake: Approaching too quickly and turning after the scooter has already reached the edge.

Synchronized Actions

Some sections require both players to act at the same time. Establish a simple countdown before jumping, changing position, or passing a timing-based obstacle.

Driver tip: Wait for the agreed countdown instead of acting on instinct alone.

Passenger tip: Use short commands such as ready, three, two, one, go.

Common mistake: The passenger jumps early or the driver moves before the countdown finishes.

Teamwork Guide

Scooter Duo Teamwork Guide

A strong duo divides responsibilities clearly, uses short voice commands, and resets quickly after mistakes. The driver controls movement and avoids sudden decisions; the passenger provides route awareness and timing support.

Driver Responsibilities

Control speed, steering, braking, and the scooter's position on the route. Prioritize stability over speed and wait when the passenger is checking a hazard.

Recommended commands

SlowStopReady?Go

Team rule: Do not accelerate into an obstacle without a confirmed timing call.

Passenger Responsibilities

Watch the route ahead, identify hazards, call out turns, and confirm when it is safe to continue. Stay on the scooter unless the route calls for a coordinated jump or dismount.

Recommended commands

LeftRightWaitJump now

Team rule: Give warnings early and keep commands short enough to understand during movement.

Recommended Voice Routine

Use a consistent call-and-response system for difficult sections. The passenger announces the obstacle, the driver confirms readiness, and both players act after a short countdown.

Recommended commands

Obstacle aheadReadyThree, two, one, go

Team rule: Use one person as the primary caller so both players never issue conflicting instructions.

Fast Recovery After a Mistake

After a fall or mistimed action, reset the plan instead of pointing fingers. Identify the exact failure, choose one correction, and repeat the section at a slower pace.

Recommended commands

ResetSame routeSlower this time

Team rule: Change one variable at a time so the team can identify what fixed the problem.

Playing With a Stranger

Begin with a low-risk section to establish communication. If voice chat is unavailable, use simple text instructions and rely on visible pauses, repeated signals, and conservative movement.

Recommended commands

WaitFollowGoAgain

Team rule: Use predictable actions instead of assuming the other player knows the intended plan.
